The Cashout: The New November Sports Betting Numbers
TCL will offer market analysis in the US gambling space in The Cashout every Friday to paid subscribers, along with a news roundup for free subscribers. The weekly post will focus on metrics in the US market, as well as regulatory and legal developments as events warrant.
We now have revenue and handle metrics by operator in November for nine states. So how are things looking for the big six sportsbooks that are in all of them? And how is a crucial November going for ESPN Bet?

It would be great if mainstream outlets like Yahoo stopped giving offshore sportsbooks free PR. Also, you had to read for a while before you learned* that you can’t bet on high school sports at regulated sportsbooks. (*hopefully you already knew that.) Maybe Congress should have gotten angry about that instead of taking aim at legal sportsbooks.

The top-line numbers for November sports betting
This week I am focusing (like most weeks) on how the “Big 6” are doing by market share. The Big 6 = FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, Fanatics and ESPN Bet.
In the coming weeks in The Cashout, I am going to break down how some of the operators who serve fewer states — notably Bet365, Hard Rock and BetRivers — are performing. Those are interesting stories, especially 365, which is sometimes outperforming some of the Big 6.
But that’s a story for another day.
