The Handle: March Meh-Ness For Ohio Sports Betting, Too

Sportsbooks won $88 million, a decent haul given the modest margins and lukewarm volume that have defined the month's data

It’s the last day of the month, and Ohio’s sports betting report arrived right on time on Thursday morning.

Here were the vitals for March:

  • Handle: $960,443,180 (▼ 2.6%)

  • Revenue: $87,909,610 (▲ 32%)

  • Hold: 9.2%

  • Taxes: $17,628,692

Note that lottery sports betting totals were not immediately available from the regulator and are not included in this report. The lottery-licensed UBetOhio kiosks account for just a fraction of a percent of the market’s total output.
