I think a little difficult to get too deep into an analysis without doing my own post. But the short is I think trying to ascribe widespread societal ills to the advent of legal sports betting is specious. He has some good points for sure…I don’t think the product is “terrible” but could be better.
The biggest issue is just saying it is a failure and it should go away. That’s not a serious prescription or at all likely to happen in the short or long term.
